Limerick Fire Company Assists at Overturned Crane off Bridge at Sunnybrook Ballroom

On Monday, May 15th around 9:40 a.m. Limerick Fire Company was dispatched to cover and assist Sanatoga Fire Company (Sta. 58) and Ringing Hill Fire Company (Sta. 59) who were on another call. Rescue 54 responded and on arrival were ordered to stage in the parking lot of Sunnybrook Ballroom. The OIC requested booms be placed in the waterway for leaking fluids from the crane. Rescue 54 personnel placed three booms along the creek to assist in containing fluids. Personnel also placed absorbent pads around the area of the leaking hydraulic tank in efforts to control the leaking fluid. The operator of the crane was treated at the scene by Goodwill Ambulance.
