Smoke coming out the back of a Shredder Truck

Limerick Fire Company was dispatched for a possible fire inside of a commercial truck at 206 Commerce Court at the Airport Business Complex in Limerick at 1401hours on August 24, 2017. CH54 on location with a small box truck with an odor coming from it. The truck does commercial paper shredding and the driver smelled something burning. Rescue 54 and Engine 54 on location – crews checked the box end for any fire and didn’t find any. An odor from the shredding machine was discovered and it appeared the machine was jammed up and not turning like it was supposed to possibly causing the burning smell. Fire crews removed bottom plate of shredder to find it completely jammed but no fire. Fire units returned and truck was turned over to PD and the driver.
